Once upon a time, there lived a family with eight children and two parents. The ages of the children were 1, 4, 5, 7, 10, 14, 16, and 20. There names were Jill, Jack, Rosie, Olivia, Ethan, Arianna, Casey, and Lily. They lived in Alaska. And as you know, it was very cold in Alaska. The children grew up with their father saying, "Whenever you go somewhere, you have to be prepare for bad weather." And when they turned 7 years old, their father trusted them to know the rule.
One day, Lily wanted to go to her friend's house. She saw that it was sunny and not very cold. So she just put on a fleece and some mittens and she drove to her friend's house. She ate snacks and played and watched movies and had lots of fun. And then at 6 o'clock it was time for her to go. She got in her car and she started to drive home. Just then she saw that it had started to snow. She wasn't worried though, because it was just a tiny bit of snow. Then the snow storm started to get bigger and bigger and bigger. And soon it was hard to see. Then she pulled over because she couldn't see well enough and she started to get cold. The snow was up to the trunk of her car. And she couldn't move because she was stuck in a big pile of snow.
She wanted to call her dad but she was too embarrassed that she wasn't prepared like he had told her to be. Lily called her dad and said, "Dad, I wasn't prepared and now I'm stuck in the snow and I need you to come and get me." The dad said, "Well, I wish you would have been prepared since I stopped telling you 13 years ago. I will come and get you, but this is the last time I'm going to do this." So the dad came and brought Lily her coat and hat and a scarf. She was in the middle of the freeway and they couldn't move the car, so they had to leave it there. The dad drove Lily home. Now she knows that whenever her father says something, it is for a reason, and she never leaves the house again without being prepared.
A few days later, Lily and her dad rescued her car, and they were happy. The End.
